The 7th Annual Broomfield Shootout will be August 11th-14th, 2011 in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado. The weekend is right before the start of the Fall Season, offering teams a great pre-season warm-up. Last year we had Gold, Silver, and Bronze divisions in every age group, from U9-U18 for girls and U9-U14 for boys. All teams play a minimum of four games, with at least 6 teams (90% had 8) in each division.
Our tournament has grown every year and last year became the biggest tournament in the state, with almost 300 teams (368 applications). Apply early! What we really offer is a big tournament with a small-town feel. No corporate naming, fair entry fees, quality fields and a genuinely friendly community.
What puts us apart from other tournaments is that our focus is entirely on the teams who take part. We still give out gifts for all players and coaches. Also we give a full refund if the tournament is cancelled for rain. We answer every email, read all the surveys, and make sure our website and free text messaging services are updated immediately.
Finally, we are always trying to improve our tournament, to stay on the cutting edge. This year is no exception. We will be the first tournament to try to integrate policies of reducing, reusing, and recycling into our event, including our trash collection, carbon emissions, gifts and merchandise.
