WHEN - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, August 11-14th, 2011:

  • Play will begin at 5:00pm on Thursday and Friday at venues around Broomfield and Trailwinds in Thornton. Games will then also be played from 8am on Saturday and Sunday.

WHERE - Matches will take place at the following locations (at a minimum):

  • Broomfield County Commons, 9 full size fields, all flat, in excellent condition, with state of the art drainage and irrigation systems. 1 full size high quality turf field. Located at around 132nd and Sheridan in Broomfield.
  • Trailwinds Park, 6 full size fields in Thornton. Two artifical turf fields (with floodlights) and four grass fields.
  • Highland Park, 2 full size and 3 small fields, primarily for the U9-U10 age groups. Located just north of 120th and Sheridan in Broomfield.
  • Legacy High School, 5 full size fields. Located on 136th and Zuni, in Broomfield.

WHO - USYSA affiliated boys and girls:

  • Fall of 2011 Under-11 through U-18 Competitive Teams (will play 11 v 11)
  • Fall of 2011 Under-9 and Under-10 Recreational Teams (will play 8 v 8)
  • Gold (Premier), Silver (Classic) and Bronze (Challenge) Divisions in every age group possible

ENTRY DEADLINE - July 18, 2011:

  • $50 late fee if application not made on or before July 18, 2011
  • Acceptance on space-available basis after entry deadline

ROSTER/PLAYER INFORMATION:

  • Fall 2011 rosters must be provided at Tournament Check-in. Teams must be duly registered with their respective state associations.
  • Teams may include up to (4) guest players but may not exceed a total roster size of 18 (22 for U17-18).
  • All other players must be registered to the team making application. No players may be added after the first game has been played – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • All players, including guests, must have a valid Fall 2011 approved state youth player pass card with player's picture.
  • Players may participate on one team only during the entire tournament.
  • All teams from outside of Colorado must provide approved travel papers at Team Check-In or they will not be allowed to play.

TEAM ENTRY FEE - $575 per team playing U11-U18, $375 for teams playing U9-U10:

  • Payment of Tournament Fee will be accepted by credit card online or by check or money order.
  • Payments will be charged or deposited upon acceptance into tournament.
  • No application will be considered until payment has been received by Broomfield Blast.
  • Any teams not accepted will not be charged.
  • No refunds will be given once a team has been accepted.
  • If payment is received after entry deadline of July 18, 2011, a late fee of $50 will be charged and acceptance will be on a space-available basis.

TEAM SELECTION:

  • Selection to the tournament, as well as division placement, will be based on team history and record.
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions in every age group possible.
  • Age Groups may be combined to allow for appropriate play.
  • Late registration will be accepted on a space available basis only – additional late fee of $50.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • All teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games.
  • Online registration and payment system, Automated online scorekeeping, quality fields.
  • Finalists will receive 1st and 2nd place individual awards in all divisions.
  • Communication from the Broomfield Shootout will be via email and website only, so team contact, team manager, team coach should check email and this website often.
  • MANDATORY Team Check-In Reception will be Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Renaissance Suites Hotel. See also our Check In page.
  • Field check-ins will be available in extraordinary circumstances, but only if the Tournament Director has been previously notified and has approved.
  • Coaches will receive a gift (one per team). Players will receive a tournament pin or bag tag.
  • Match officials are certified by the United States Soccer Federation.
  • First games are Thursday or Friday, as stated previously. Website results available throughout tournament for easy ability to track up-to-date standings anytime.
  • Website access will be critical to teams during the tournament so it is highly encouraged that there is a team representative traveling with the team who has mobile Internet access.
